In this latest version, the menu design has been refreshed, saying goodbye to the complicated look of previous versions. The in-game experience has also been greatly improved, with cleaner cutscenes and improved stat overlays that provide a more realistic broadcast feel. Player animations take center stage, demonstrating graceful movements that reflect real-world athletic ability. The pace of the game seems to slow down a bit with more emphasis on strategic play and scoring skills. However, defensive play suffers and chasing and recovering from mistakes puts players at a disadvantage.

FC has 24 play styles and integrates real-world data to enhance digital player skills to give you a dynamic advantage on the pitch. This is a nice addition, but similar to the existing player features in previous versions of FIFA. Minor inconsistencies occur in the control scheme that require specific actions to correct. Visually, FC 24 tries to differentiate itself from FIFA 23, with progressively improved player skins and pitch details. Oversaturation of turf reduces the natural appearance of football pitches. As holiday animation evolves, it sometimes falls into the uncanny valley. Online modes, including Ultimate Team and Volta, remain largely unchanged, with Ultimate Team still featuring microtransaction-based packs. Career Mode tries to innovate with team-level philosophies and improved exploration, but the core experience largely follows a set formula.

FC 24 brings some welcome changes, but they aren’t enough to solve the series’ long-standing problems. There are no major career mode updates, transfer market mechanics are unchanged, and there are no immersive features. The absence of a VAR (video assistant referee) system and replays add to the sense of economic decline. In conclusion, EA Sports FC 24 delivers the FIFA experience.
